St. Martin's Cathedral was built over the course of a hundred years in the 14th and 15th centuries, and currently represents one of the purest Gothic buildings in Slovakia. The church served as the coronation place for Hungarian kings for centuries. While often swarmed by tourists, the cathedral still remains active as a place of worship.
