The Slovak National Uprising Bridge. A marvel of modern communist architercute, and the doom for half of the old city. The bridge cuts right across the old town; many priceless historical treasures were destroyed when this bridge was built.
Beyond the castle gate, there is the Slovak Parliament. The ulta-modern architecture is just another punch into the face of the old town.
The Presidential Palace. I got almost arrested for espionage when taking a series of pictures of this building.
The Old Marketplace was only recently restored to its former glory. In summer, you can get some much needed shade and rest under those trees.
