Only a few weeks ago I discovered the wonderful world of close-up photography. Ever since then I spent hours crawling in grass, hiking to find the perfect flower, or simply getting fascinated by the raindrops on leaves. Here's the best of the best; the result of over 500 pictures, some bad enough to be unrecognizable, many others with smaller flaws. That's the part of the fun; every time I found a good image, I got very excited. Enjoy and come back later; I've got the feeling that this section will grow...

Grass. Imagine someone crawling on the front lawn a day after pesticides were applied, at 6.30AM in the morning. This is what you get.
Leaves. There's nothing more envigorating than going hiking early morning, after a night's worth of rain...
Maple leaves can create intere fascinating patterns. My neck got all stiff trying to take as many of these pictures as possible.
Moss. It's everywhere. You can't escape it. You step on it and don't even notice. Have you wver looked at it more closely?
Mud. I must confess, I'm still a child. I absolutely love to play in mud. I love even more watching it dry...
Needles. What do you get when you mix pine needles and a little rain? Some of the most intricate patterns nature has to offer.
Rhododendrons in bloom are one of the main reasons why I love hiking in late spring.
