I've been trying to take a shot of the fountain forever, and it never worked. The edges are always in shade, while the fountain is on open sun, and the contrast is simply too large. Finally, one late autumn day when the sun was low enough for the fountain to remain shadowed, I thought it would be fun to take the picture, and include one of the eight statues that guard the entrance to the fountain as well. The result surprised me; for some reason to this day the image is freaking me out. (Canon EOS Rebel Ti, 28-90mm II Canon lens @ 28mm, tripod, Fujichrome Velvia 100F)
